Make sure your E-II floppy drive is clean and free of dust. Try some
compressed air (computer duster), and if that fails Ive had some luck
in the past after using a 5-1/4" cleaning disk (eBay). You can also
try gently spinning the inner media portion of the problem floppy disk
by hand before inserting it (use the center hub, dont touch the data
surface). If the disk is no longer functioning correctly mechanically,
it can cause problems.
Due to age and use it also just be bad or failing media. The ideas
above are just to get a previously defective disk to read once; at
which point you should immediately save the bank to a brand new,
freshly formatted, and known good disk.

Did you buy a II+ HD model? I do not have a HD model, but the second
error would probably indicate a "MiniScribe 20mb Harddrive".

IIRC Slider A just "catalogs" the *samples* used in a preset. To
actually scroll through different presets in a bank, you would key in
preset numbers using the keypad.
Happy Emulating and congrats on your new machine.
