Hella all! Is is still possible to purchase the parts to replace the backlight on the EII. It is still working but is very pale. I have read up that this is quite simple to replace but cannot find anywhere selling the part! Also, general repairs / etc? Anybody know of anyone reputable in the UK? thanks guys! Mike

Hi! I added a link to FORAT ( http://www.forat.com/service/##SP1200 ) They also sell new backlights, but they seem to be yellow.

Hello All
I'm wondering how can i swap a version of Sound Designer to my mac book 5300c after downloading it from a PC(windows XP) the MAC dosn't seem to recognize anything on the floppy.

If PC Exchange doesnt work, you can try MacDisk to format a Macintosh floppy on the PC: http://www.macdisk.com/mden.php3

My mac is running O.S. 8.6 is that gonna be problem,and if so any tips to get around the O.S. 8.6 ????

Mac System 7.1 and later should be able to read PC (Dos) formatted
floppies using PC Exchange (if not already on your Mac, PC Exchange is

However downgrading to 7.01 is a bad idea for two reasons Ken: First; jaedoo has a Powerbook 5300C which is built on the PowerPC processor and requires System 7.5.2 or later. Second; PC Exchange (which I recommended) requires 7.1 or higher. The good news though, is that 7.5.5 is also available free should he want to try it.
