This would be possible with the JLCooper MIDI Interface they built. Or maybe if someone with this particular unit would share the schematics or take some pics or something we could built one ourselves. I am interested too by the way J Kenneth 12bit.com Fra: emulatorII-list@yahoogroups.com [mailto:emulatorII-list@yahoogroups.com] På vegne af Kevin Kelley Sendt: 23. juli 2008 22:24 Til: emulatorII-list@yahoogroups.com Emne: [emulatorII-list] Semi off topic adding mid to an E1 Hello I have an E1 without midi or CV and I would like to be able to control note on/off commabds from my PC is there any way to do this? I've got a midi interface for my EI, but you do need to power up the E1 with a MIDI OS disk in to use it. As far as I can seen, it's stuck on midi channel 1, and omni is OFF (Thank god!)
My camera is pretty average, but I'll try and get some good pix of it.
It connects to the large D connector on the back of my E1 (RS 232 ?) So, I'm guessing that if you don't have this connector on it, midi might be a bit more tricky.
On another note, I've just installed a midi kit in my Korg Poly6.. this was a very simple install, and like a few of the cheaper Midi kits out there, just interface with the keyboard matrix. Midifying the E1 this way would probably be a better option, as you would not have to worry about the Midi OS etc.. work for someone else tho..
Regards
Mike

Hi Mike. I have the RS232 port on my E1 and I even have the MIDI diskette for it. BUT NO MIDI INTERFACE J I would be very interested in seeing some internal pics if you have the time for it – also I think I remember Rob from Emulatorarchive once mentioning something about a change in the internal wiring to make it work. But maybe my E1 already has this – as I got the MIDI diskette when I bought it. Hey Guys, A quick moderator note concerning the recent proliferation of Emulator-1 posts: This is a dedicated Emulator-2 group and always has been. This mailing list reaches over 250 members, most who are only here for Emulator-2 content. Emulator-1 discussions are not "semi" off-topic; they are off-topic and must use the full "OT:" subject line prefix. Second; please remember that all of these messages are being archived. Not having the "OT:" prefix to differentiate content makes searching the message archives more difficult as well. If those of you with Emulator-1's want a place to archive your Emulator-1 files, discussions, and technical information; I respectfully ask that you please start a permanent and dedicated Emulator-1 group because this is not the place for it. I do appreciate that many Emulator-2 owners also own Emulator-1's. I also appreciate that Emulator-1 owners do not have many places to go for technical information and user networking. However, I must ask that you please mark your subject headers correctly so people know at a quick glance when a post does not contain any Emulator-2 content. PS: Kevin, thanks for recognizing this issue in your subject line. Thanks, -hexafuzz

Sorry about the whole OT thing.
The pics are up there in the Emu1 files.

Please re-upload to the correct folder, thanks. PS: Please remember everyone, should we run out of room for E-II pics and files; the E-1 content will be first to be deleted. Thanks, hex

Heres the link to the group home page: http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/EmulatorOne/ Emulator-I users/owners; please join and contribute to that group so future E-I messages, photos, and files will be archived there.
