I'm looking for a Mac to run SD etc, and as I know 'ZERO' about Macs
etc, I'm hoping someone will give me a 'yes' or 'no' answer.

As long as the system is working correctly, it should be fine. The
harddrive is on the small side though and you will probably want to
add an external SCSI CD-Rom at some point.
