EII some voices not paying.

EII some voices not paying.

2008-02-29 by tomas_peterka

Hi,

my EII is broken:

- some voices are not playing or playing distorted
- there is a problem with loading the data from floppy (it does not
boot from the disk sometimes)

It started after the service company installed the daughter-board for
communication with Mac (both main boards had to be removed) and the
3,5" fdd kit. Unfortunatelly they are not able to fix the problem.

It seemed to be the connectors between the two main boards but
cleaning
the contacts did not helped. It occurs everytime when we touch the
connector for the ribbon cable leading from the mainboard to the
LCD/panel board or when I shake or just play the instrument.

Does anybody have any idea how to fox this problem?

Is there any service for EII in Germany/Austria (preferably close to
the Czech Republic)? Or elsewhere in Europe?

Hi Tomas.

Sorry about your issues – I can’t help I’m afraid.

I know of Virtual Music in Austria that may be able to help.

Alexander definitely know what he’s talking about. Maybe you should contact
him.
