Hi guys.

As some of you may remember I got a pretty HUGE library when I bought 
my Emulator 1 on eBay (364 discs to be precise).

Today I spent some time just browsing through the discs, and even 
though it is mostly effects I managed to get some 'real music' out of 
it.

I thought I would share it with those of you interested in the sound 
of this classic 8 bit wonder :-).

The song was just created as I went along loading the discs, so 
please don't mind the composition at all - this is NOT how I usually 
make music :-).

There is NO effects processing involved. 
All I did was recording it into my Cubase 4.12. I quantized some of 
the tracks and panned some of the tracks - that's it.

So no effects, enhancers, EQ's or anything. Just the pure sounds.

Do you also have the multisampling and formatting software etc.?

I have the formatting software but I am not sure if it works 100%.

I tried to format one of my blank EII discs yesterday, and it didn’t exactly
work ‘like a charm’ J

I guess it formatted the disc, and I was also able to load in some samples
afterwards and save them to the newly formatted disc, but it wouldn’t load
and I guess it behaved a little strange when saving. 

 

But hey; the Emulator behaves strange all the time J

I can tell...

I haven't switched mine on for a long time... but I still remember.
Mine behaved SO strange.

But the few times it worked, it was pretty stable, and I remember that
formatting worked, as well as the multisampling function. ( I just
tried that out, being curious if it worked).
