Emulator 1 Choir Sample uploaded

Emulator 1 Choir Sample uploaded

2008-02-13 by mrjdevries

Hey all, I've uploaded this choir sample..

It's taken from the "Male Voices & Mixed Choir" sample disk made by EMU.

For those that care, It was recorded straight out of my EMU 1 to
Protools (Digidesign 001)

As all my Emu1 voices are not exactly the same (some are brighter, some
are louder) I took the brightest one.. figuring you can always filter
it later.
Some of the magic (for me) is that not all the voices are equal.. makes
for a cool feeling when playing me thinks.

As for the loop points.. these are the whole sample minus the loop, so
I figured you would be able to add them in later.

As you can tell by listening to this, it's made from 3 different
samples.

I hope this is the original sample that some of you were looking for.

Samples were taken at

C1 , F1 , C2 , F2 , C3, F3, C4, F4, C5

Cheers

Mike

Hi Mike!

Thanks for uploading the samples. I will try to port them to my EII
soon and let you know if they sound as expected :).
I also did some research on my sample library and came across some
Korg DSS-1 samples that sound pretty close to the original Depeche
Mode samples. Maybe you want to try them too on your EI. I uploaded
them into the files section.
If anyone is interested I can convert the samples I made to DPX-1 and
upload them as well.
Btw. is there any way to convert DPX-1 files back to EII?

Thanks again.
Cheers

That's awesome -thanks a million! :-)

Not everybody's lucky enough to own an Emulator I or II, so uploading
samples like this in the WAV format is most welcome and very generously
done. It's not easy for non-Emulator owners to get hold of Emulator sounds.

I'd love to download other Emulator "classic sounds" or even buy a
CD-ROM full of AIFF or WAV files, if there isn't a problem with
royalties and such. Does anyone have any plans for a project like that?
