Hi Marko
Thank you for your advice.
I have a midicable connected but the midipatch bay is turned off, so the midi causes no problem. When I connect my old PowerMac 7500/100 (OS8.0) to the same rig, I have no problem. This leads me to believe that it is a missing setting on the PowerPC 4400/200 (OS8.0) or maybe the PowerPC is incompatible.
Emulatorarchive does state that the PowerPC is compatible.
I just can't make the PowerPC communicate with the EII.
Best regards

Maybe it's a setting

Have you checked that MIDI is enabled and set to channel 1 on EII? If you have any MIDI cables attached pull them off from EII, that should do the trick.

Hi fellow EII users
I've installed OS8.0 on a PowerPC 4400/200 and I have tried to make
the PowerPC communicate with the EII. Unfortunately without any luck.
I've tried with apletalk active for the printer and modem and in the
inactive mode. Disk cache is permanently on, ram disk on and off and
virtuel memory on and off too without success.
I have a PowerMac 7500/100 with OS 8.0 which communicate well with
the EII with the same cable. The PowerMac is working with ApleTalk
active, disk cache on, virtuel memory on and ram disk on but this
doesn't seem to work with the PowerPC.
According to emulatorarchive the PowerPC should work too, but how.
Does any of you know how?
Best regards
Brian
