Hi, I know we already had a similar thread here but there was no real answer to that. I recently found this on youtube and wonder if anyone can help me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_al6wn9fcA I'm searching these samples for a long time and wonder if someone knows where they are from. Maybe someone want to share/trade them with me. Thanks in advance wintermute

Enjoy the Silence is an Emulator I..
I've got an Emulator I, and even have that disk..
I've ordered a reconditioned drive for my Emu, as right now it's borderline working / not working. Hopefully i'll have it fixed in a week or two.
If you have an Emulator I, give me a message and I'll see if i can post you out a copy.
Regards
Mike

Heh, been looking for that one too for ages. Would that EI bank load up in an EII? Hello all Too bad! Would love the get my hands on the Emu 1 sound too. At the least, WAV files could be converted to something else... Does EMXP support conversion of Emu 1 banks too? No, I think it doesn't... E-mu 1 is cool, unfortunately I lost all my disks... nevermind, mine doesn't function properly anyway..

Unfortunately I don't own an EI but an EII. But I'm pretty sure that if you could provide us with some .wav samples it would be easy to transfer this great sound to the EII. I think there is no way to convert EI sounds to EII (not with EMXP). Maybe you could tell us the VCA settings and record the raw sample (one sample per octave). That would be awesome!

The 'Company' is EMU. LOL.
Looking at my Emu1 disks, the only choir I can find (So I'm pretty sure it's it, but my emu is awaiting a new drive [shortly] ) is..
MALE VOICES 02-001-802M2 &
MIXED CHOIR 02-004-801M1
I'm pretty damn sure that this 'Choir' is the same used in New Orders - "Blue Monday".. and to my ears is exactly the same as the above disk.
When I get my Emu1 up and running, I'd be happy to sample the wav's for all.
I'll keep ya posted
Regards
Mike

New order's members liked a lot the german band. it is the same sound , same chord !

The guy on youtube states that he sampled the sound from an EII. But it could really be an original EI sample. I found a soundlist on emulatorarchive and I think it could be one of the 3 choir sounds listed there. http://www.emulatorarchive.com/assets/PDF/Emulator%20I%20Sound%20Description.pdf I will go through all my choir sounds but I think this will take some time and I dont really know if I have the correct one anyway. It will be hard to tack the right one without having a one shot sample.

well, that might be a E1 - playing back a kraftwerk sample :-) ----- Original Message ----- From: Mike de Vries To: emulatorII-list@yahoogroups.com Sent: Monday, February 04, 2008 2:37 PM Subject: [emulatorII-list] Re: Choir sounds anyone? wow.. never new that.. i figured the Emu1 in their live clips was used for the choir.. and hence on the recording. Hey guys, While you mention Blue Monday, does anyone know if the sound that comes in at 2:05 is Emu or not?? Sounds very sample-esque..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftJZomwDhxQ PS- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Monday_(New_Order_song) -Sean On Feb 4, 2008, at 7:09 AM, wintermute0815 wrote: > The guy on youtube states that he sampled the sound from an EII. > But it could really be an original EI sample. > I found a soundlist on emulatorarchive and I think it could be one of > the 3 choir sounds listed there. > http://www.emulatorarchive.com/assets/PDF/Emulator%20I%20Sound%20Description.pdf > > I will go through all my choir sounds but I think this will take some > time and I dont really know if I have the correct one anyway.
