Removing DC-Offset

Removing DC-Offset

2007-12-27 by willgregori

Dear Emulator friends,

while sampling some sounds through my EMU-II sample input and
transferring them to SDII I noticed a lot of DC offset in the waveform
display.

Is this normal, or does anybody know a trimming procedure for the
Emulator-II ADC to reduce this DC offset?

Thanks,

Gregor

I had the same problem and rebuilt it. ALL of the Electrolytics and
Tantalum came out. It made a huge difference in all aspects of the
instrument. I'm also thinking about replacing the non Zener diodes
in the power supply with FRED's. Has anybody ever tried this?
