Anybody else waiting for a EII 3.5" drive from Route 66 Studios?

Anybody else waiting for a EII 3.5" drive from Route 66 Studios?

2007-08-20 by mborish_2000

I've been waiting for well over a month now for a EII 3.5" drive from
R. Walsh. I've called him a few times regarding the matter and he's
always got a different excuse why the thing hasn't been sent.

1.) Has anybody else had problems with this guy? I remember someone
bashed him a while ago? Ironically, the SP-1200 drive I got from him
works great and he seems competent enough to come through.... eventually.

2.) Should I wait or ask for my money back?

Nobody can make that decision for you but if you are tired of waiting,
you are perfectly within your rights to demand a refund for
undelivered merchandise.

That said, its probably a good bet that the floppy conversion kits are
made to order. Richard is one of the moderators of this group;
hopefully he will chime in and explain whats delaying your order.

Hey Guys
The Good news is that all our Ell current orders have
shipped, the bad news is...yes we had a huge delay and I am sorry for
that.

The problem we ran into was that the 5 1/4 to 3.5 adaptor setup we
use in this Ell kit has been discontinued, we have been searching for
another one to replace it and this has turned out to be vary
difficult.
It's one of those items that is just not used any longer in the
computer world so many companies that made them dropped the product.
Our's has to have several items like a card edge adaptor and a power
converted cable and of course a Black Bezel.

We have managed to get about 160 pcs so were good to go for now but
we will be looking for a replacement again I am sure.

So sorry for the delays guys, please email me me if you have any
questions and thanks for hanging in there with us.
