The way around the laggy start was to play it once, with the lag.. Stop the master clock and restart.. The second time it doesn't need to access the disk, and will start on the money.

�the reason why it's unusable basically is because if you're clocking the sequencer say from an SP1200 or 12, and you use the clock out, the EII has that lag time to access the floppy disk to get it's next set of instructions. That lag time destroys everything.� Every time it makes a move you know it has to access the disk.� One thing I tried and I posted it on the other forum (weak) was to get the EII to read midi files.� I would load up a midi file in Ableton and pump it through the EII's input and it would actually record it.� So I would then hit play and the midi file was there.� That was fun.�� I think the sequencer is good for scratch pad sequencer for melodies and pads, and that's about it.� And using the EII in Supermode blows too if you're trying to use a serious hardware or soft sequencer.� I think most people just use it for real time playing these days and that's it.�
