I did gut the Performa 200 last night. It9;s very easy to open and held together with 4 Torx bolts. I prefer a Mac Mini in the SE/30 shell before a Windows machine. But I also want reliability for EMXP. Once the boards and old Samsung CRT monitor was out... you can see that the mod is very doable. I think a day or two's worth of work and it could be done. You'll need some metal flexible brackets for the braces, and a dremel saw, and some ingenuity. But it's not gonna be that hard. I have the monitor sorted and will order it in a couple weeks. Now I need to figure what system to get. So anyone regarding Macs and EMXP info would be appreciated.
I would like to know that too ;)
Unfortunately I don't have a Mac to test EMXP and the EmuSer on.
A few days ago I had an e-mail conversation with someone who tried to use the EmuSer on a MacBook pro with Bootcamp + Windows 7. He said the communication with the Emulator-II was very unstable (or even not working) but that it worked much better with the Emax - which is kind of strange because both use high speed synchronous communication, although the protocol is different.
When he uses the same EmuSer on a native Win XP PC, it works fine with both Emulator-II and Emax.
Would the problem be caused by (USB port ?) hardware used by Apple, or by the Windows USB port driver that is being used on Mac ?
