Re: [emulatorII-list] Re: EII + effects processors

I'll take every single one of those processors that you guys mentioned in this thread.  Great stuff.
Paul, I have shied away from the LXP-1 and LXP-5 just the for reason of the the encoder issues that the Vortex, Alex, Reflex and Jamman suffer from.  Once those pots go than trying to get the encoders for them is impossible (includin LXP's).  You have to keep buying units to canabilize the encoders for.  But I always wanted try the LXP units with the MRC controller.  It's like an Alesis wedge but only 12 bit and all those parameters to tweak.  I know I will pick these units up, it's only a matter of time.  I gotta try it.

Were there ever any 8bit or 10bit effects?    I think the LXP series have just a tad wider bandwith and go up to 12K instead of 10K like the Midiverb and Midifex.

On the list too is the Vermona Lancet multimode filter and the Jomox Moonwind.

I have always dreamt of what the EII would sound like with bandpass and high pass filtering with clockable midi LFO's and subdivisions.

I need to pick up another Symetrix 606 too.  I haven't had one in about 3 years and that is on the never ending list as well.   Too many cool processors for the EII at this point.

I use an Eventide Time factor delay for old synths. You can simulate the bit depth you want - mine is usually set to early 80's 12 bit crappiness or lower. I love that it fit's nicely on top of keyboards, it automatically follows MIDI tempo and it's just covered with knobs. It does great tape loop emulation as well. I occasionally use an old Roland SDE-1000, an excellent sounding 12 bit delay which is easy to find and can be had for cheap.
