The EII cover has been dropped off at an automotive shop here in Santa Barbara. It's gonna cost $298 out the door, ouch. It should look like new. It better be for that kind of scratch. From the factory it was never shot with a clear or any primer. They just went for it they said. The paint is actually a textured paint and not smooth. I didn't even notice that until they showed me the difference from the box of paint flakes I brought them from the heat gun. I'll post a picture on monday. EII labels will soon be finished on 3M material. I'm crossing my fingers the second time around. You will not have the clear polycarbonate window though like the factory labe. It will look very SP12'ish without it. Both the main EII label and pitch wheel labels may be available soon. Nothing will be like the original but it will be close. It might even look better than the original label. Cross your fingers for those of you that need a new label. It may be your only option. There is a new 84x44 Crystal Fontz 16x2 white on blue LCD out. I will order it next week, and try it, and report back. I am restoring a Studio 440 drum machine right now also and all this can be pricey. So hang tight.
