If not I'll poke around inside the Cd drive > for loose connections etc. One other thing you can try (if you have the proper cables) is to daisy chain both your drives, putting your self terminating Zip at the end of the chain and removing your CD terminator plug from the equation: MAC-CD-ZIP. If the Mac boots this way, you know your CD terminator plug is bad.
