Mike, thanks for your reply. I've tried all ID's on the CD drive. Do you know if there is any way to set/change SCSI ID settings on the Mac or are those "firmly" assigned? --- In emulatorII-list@yahoogroups.com, Mike de Vries <mrjdevries@...> wrote: > > Did you change the SCSI CD drive ID to another number..If it's on the same ID number as your hardrive, there may be a conflict. > Â > Cheers > Mike--- On Thu, 3/2/11, trickstar303 <trickstar303@...> wrote: > > > From: trickstar303 <trickstar303@...> > Subject: [emulatorII-list] Re: Mac Classic won't boot anymore with CD-Drive attached > To: emulatorII-list@yahoogroups.com > Received: Thursday, 3 February, 2011, 5:31 AM > > > Â > > > > My Classic runs Os 7.0.1 by the way... > > --- In emulatorII-list@yahoogroups.com, "trickstar303" <trickstar303@> wrote: > > > > Hi, > > > > I have a Mac Classic running SoundDesigner with a CD-Rom drive attached. It used to work perfectly. A couple of months ago I moved my studio and yesterday I finally tried to set it all up again and now the Classic won't boot when the CD-Drive SCSI connector is attached! I get the question mark on the Mac's screen. When I remove the SCSI plug on the Mac it will boot up normally. I tried all SCSI ID settings on the drive and also have a SCSI termination plug plugged into the 2nd SCSI terminal on the drive. I verified the Extensions folder and the CD-driver is still there. > > > > Does anyone know why it's doing that? Am I missing something? > > >
