Re: [emulatorII-list] Re: EII LCD Display

2010-10-24 by James Ulibarri

Alan Wilder yesterday said that he has every Emulator ever made and non of them work.  I had him sign my Little 15 - 7" and my LeCover dust cover my EII+, but my cover is grayand the Sharpie he used was in silver, so it's there but not like a black marker would have looked. I was way too nervous to correct him or have him do it over.  Anxiety got the best of me and like an idiot.. I actually had the shakes handing my stuff to him.  I get like really bad during public speaking, etc.  Ugggghhh, not my best moment at all.  But he seemed really shocked that someone out there had one that still worked.  He was like "really??, and it still works??".   I told him that it was probably his power supply and he said "oh that's ok because I probably would never use it." and just smiled.

Not your average saturday.  Although, part of me wishes he still uses his EII.

I know the Santa Ana show is sold out.  Martin is supposed to DJ after hours.  Hopefully it's better than Andy Fletcher's DJ sets!

I saw Alan last night in SF, the show was awesome! I heard Martin is going to be at the LA show so that's gonna probably be even better. Wish I could make it. Funny only piece of old gear I saw last night was a MS-20. Guess the days of live EIIs are long gone....a MacBook Pro is much more reliable for live:) although I did notice the IT Guy having to restart systems a few times during the show, looks like they where running off batteries somone forgot to plug in the old power adapters!
