I was referring to Preset Definition 22 and 23 (Assign Voice/Edit Assignment). -In addition to your Preset Definition 30 midi channel/mode assignments for the preset you are trying to trigger; make sure there are active voice assignments which correspond to your incoming note-on messages received at the E-II Midi-In. If you can trigger the E-II from its own keyboard with local control on (preset def 30), it is likely your voice assignments are correct. You also might check if your controller is sending midi volume information and what those values are. If you still have trouble after confirming your preset settings are correct and after verifying this occurs with multiple E-II banks, then your midi-in problem may be in hardware.
