Hi Esynthesist, 1. It's the emulation of DPX1 floppy not EII. so that means I converted all E2 images to DPX format by your utility first ))) 2. I know they are totally different but we can hope that Jeff will support our initiative!!! look here his latest post: http://torlus.com/floppy/forum/viewtopic.php?t=393 Can you provide all format details you know there? 3. I replaced 5.25 drive by two reasons - I still need 3.5 (just if something goes wrong with floppy emu) and because bread board is too big for 3.5 size and I needed to find the place for LCD and buttons))) 4. I can't promise that I'll do additional research for EII. I spent half year on restoring my instrument - adding filter mods, burning eproms, servicing all buttons, painting everything and getting working solution with powerbook... I just want enjoy playing on it now ))))))))) Guys, sorry for out-of-topic question but does anybody have Digidrums eproms for Drumulator? I lost hope to find them. Would the "track mode" of the HXC be capable of dealing with these 3584 byte tracks ? > > I really think that replacing one of those EII drives by an SD card drive, with tens/hundreds of EII files saved on that SD card (via PC) would be a magnificent feature for EII owners. The load time would be almost the same I guess (20-30 seconds). This device could be an evolution of the emucombox device, but the design has not started yet. > The advantage of the HXC would be that the EII could even boot from the SD card (or not ???) and that it could contain full disk images (including OS) instead of 'just' the banks. So this would be the preferred option; also for non-RS422 EII owners as you said. > > Again... interesting experiment, so I really encourage you to further investigate this :-) > > Man, these old samplers are really getting upgraded to the 21st century ! > > ///E-Synthesist > > --- In emulatorII-list@yahoogroups.com, "esynthesist" <esynthesist@> wrote: > > > > Wow, that's great. > > You finished that project quite fast ! > > > > I'm wondering: you replaced the 5.25 "EII" drive on your DPX. > > But as far as I understand the HxC emulator that you have built into the DPX uses the floppy disk format of the 3.5 "DPX" disks. > > So did you disable the raw EII option on your DPX and can you only use emulated DPX disks now ?
