Disabling conversion tasks seems a bit difficult, especially when converting between sampler formats because not many people will try to or are capable of changing the audio data in original EIII/Emax/SoundFont/Akai banks. But I can imagine that this feature could be useful somehow for WAV-to-sampler conversions.
I'll have a look at it.

But as I said, the only sample/audio-related conversions in EMXP are frequency conversion and resolution conversion. EMXP does not perform any other conversion on the actual sound data. Its main focus is on conversion of voice and preset data like filter settings and envelopes. Which is not applicable in WAV conversions of course.

If EMXP detects that the original sample frequency is compatible with the target sampler, it will NOT convert this frequency unless you specifically asked for it (e.g. in order to be able to fit a large 2MB EIII soundbank into a smaller 512K Emax-I soundbank).
Bit resolution conversions are only done if necessary (currently only for Emax-I and EII).

I will try to add additional details in the manual in the next release (almost ready - new version supports RS422 for EII and Emax-I)
