One of the beta testers on eiiiforum has converted *all* OMI (UOS1/UOS2) and northstar (UOS3) banks successfully (he says). I have translated a lot of them too. However these banks are copyrighted - so their converted SF2 versions are copyrighted too I guess. So uploading these examples is probably illegal. But everyone can try this out theirselves, e.g. with some Emu factory banks - most of us have at least a few of those, right ?. ///E-Synthesist --- In emulatorII-list@yahoogroups.com, "Rob Puricelli" <rob@...> wrote: > > Do you have any examples of this or know anyone who has converted > successfully so we can try these out? > > > > Thanks J > > > > Rob. > > > > From: emulatorII-list@yahoogroups.com > [mailto:emulatorII-list@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of esynthesist > Sent: 08 February 2010 20:40 > To: emulatorII-list@yahoogroups.com > Subject: [emulatorII-list] Re: Emulator sounds for sale > > > > > > ...perhaps I could remind the members of the group that EMXP allows almost > 100% conversion of EII SD soundbanks to SoundFont2 :-) > > I specifically added this SF2 support to EMXP to make sure that vintage EII > banks like the ones from OMI would survive in modern (soft)samplers. > I've chosen SoundFont2 because it's a documented standard and because it is > supported by almost all modern (soft)samplers. > > ///E-Synthesist > > --- In emulatorII-list@yahoogroups.com > <mailto:emulatorII-list%40yahoogroups.com> , "Rob Puricelli" <rob@> > wrote: > > > > If anyone is looking for classic EII sounds in a more modern format, I > share > > your pain.
