Welcome Doug, great to have you aboard! As one of the few commercial libraries available for the Emulator-II, many of us are still using the vintage OMI samples as well. Your work and involvement with these libraries is well appreciated here. We have an OMI folder in our photo gallery, so please feel free to contribute any old pics/docs you might feel relevant.

Considering its now 2010, we would enjoy hearing any stories you might like to share concerning your days at OMI and the creation/marketing of the "Universe of Sounds" libraries. Were they developed specifically for the Emulator-II or were they designed open ended and ported where needed? Any recording specs you can remember concerning these samples? Whats the back story concerning Northstar Productions coming on board with (and later retaining) Volume 3? Any Emulator-II specific sampling/looping tips youd like to share?

We understand that you still offer Volume 1 & 2 of these libraries for purchase through Q Up Arts. As many new members show up here just having purchased a second, third, or fourth hand Emulator-II with no disks/sounds included; we would appreciate it if you would please let the list know what Emulator-II compatible formats you have available and the current pricing to our members. Thanks!

PS: Looks like you encountered the same posting problem as Rod. Please double check your subject headers when replying to existing messages as only group moderators should be prefixing message titles with "MOD" which denotes administrative content, thanks.

Best,
