hey rob and thanx for the answers - as we have exchanged quite some emails in the past, i found out about this "group" so i thought i might aswell let others read the anwers to the questions i used to send directly to you via email... :-) i think you should promote this group to other people as good as you can - soon this will be a real knowlege-pool for all vintage-emu-users. ok - lets get going, simon.... stupid me - i could have checked the archive for sp12 floppys first... it´s all in there! i was lucky - i brought the sp12 to my local electronic technician today and asked him if it was possible to measure somehow, if the 115/220V swith has really switched over to 220, before i connect and maybe blow it up... he said that this was not possible and that the switch affects the transformator directly - meaning that it is 100% mechanically and that it can´t really fail. so i believed him and together we connected it... lucky me... the poor sp12 could have gone to valhalla... well, thaz all for now - thanx rob cheers - simon -- In emulatorII-list@yahoogroups.com, "Rob Keeble" <rob@e...> wrote: > Hi, > > When importing US voltage E-mu gear ALWAYS check that the voltage selector > switch has not been hard wired to 115V internally.
