Hi, When importing US voltage E-mu gear ALWAYS check that the voltage selector switch has not been hard wired to 115V internally. This is a common way of making sure the switch stays on 115V, and it obviously results in a blown sampler when you plug it into 220V. I have been caught out on this one..... 1541, 1541C and 1541-II's will all work okay. 1541-II's are best as they are smaller and more reliable. Just check its in working condition and comes with the 6pin interface cable. You might be able to swap the floppy over to 220V IF it has an external switch. Don't bother if its doesn't...as it will be hard work/impossible. Regards and enjoy the SP-12! QUESTION i just recieved my sp12turbo form usa. the problem is, that the 1541floppy drive is for 115Volt - but germany is 220Volt the sp12 has a switch, at the moment it is on 115 - i guess that when i switch it over it will show 220 - i will bring it to someone, who can check if the switch works, because i dont want the poor thing to blow up and the first time i switch it on is the last... here my questions: it seems very cheap to buy a 220V - 1541 via ebay are there any important things i need to know before buying? there are also 1541-II drives - will they work??? or is it possible to "switch it over" my floppy to 220V easily??? cheers - simon To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to: emulatorII-list-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com Your use of Yahoo!
