Use to work for a Emu dealer back in the day.
Emu Systems use to  ship EII with the two end C keys removed because 
they where likely to be damaged during shipping.
Use to have snap in those keys when we received then from the factory.
I know that when I sent mine back to the factory many years ago I was 
instructed to remove those two keys prior to shipping.
