The guy replied. The serial number is 2232 so should be good there. He also said he couldn't see any cracks and sent me a higher res photo. I does look in good shape. He said that the empty Z80A socket is actually used for a connector to the scsi board on this model (it's a +HD). Strange. Makes me wonder again if that would pose compatibility issues.
