Well I've tried to upgrade my EII to double memory but no luck so far. My situation is I have a Rev 1 digital board that has a piggyback memory board. The Rev 1 board has the jumpers for 64K and 256K memory configurations. I was told that all I would have to do would be change the memory chips for the 256K ones placing them on the digital board itself and removing the piggyback board. Then replace the IC87 with a 74S74. Replace the Scanner ROM with a 3.1 and sett the jumpers to 256K configuration. Supposibly none of the kludge wire configuration was needed. Well it doesn't work I've tried adding the piggyback board back and can get it to at least boot using a 3.1 disk that is OS only but it will not load a bank. Has anyone done a memory upgrade on this configuration before? ( rev 1 digital board ) What else needs to be done to make this work? I've set everything back the way it was but I'm ready to give it another go if someone has a proven method of doing this upgrade. Thanks, Dana --Visit Dana's Synth Site http://members.cox.net/synths
