Hex, John and Mike, Thanks a lot for your help. The SD installation worked. I then proceeded to connect my Classic to the EII for the first time. I connected it to the modem port and when I turned the Mac on it froze up with a black/white striped screen. I then removed the SD cable and tried to reboot, but now it won't boot anymore. I get the black/white scrambled stripes screen everytime I try to boot it. The Classic was working rock-solid it seemed, until I connected it to the EII. I had launched SD a couple of times before I connected it and everything seemed fine. Does anyone have any ideas what could have happened? I have a Macintosh Classic, 4MB Ram, 40mb hd, with OS 7.0 installed. Any help and tips are greatly appreciated. George
