That must have been a crazy guitar... 
I'd even be happy with a reissue! I've got a Jazzmaster reissue, but I
just like the jag's shortscale neck better.

Elmz ;) I played a late '65 (with the binding on the neck) and it was
my favorite guitar to date! ..not to mention it was also "Sea Foam
Green" w/matching headstock, and weathered in just the perfect way..
and a hefty price-tag of $7500(US)!! I hope the EII never reaches this
kind of madness.. though I did think for a quick second.. "now what
could I sell to buy the Jaguar?" totally pointless ;)
