Rod,

Since you're using MacDisk on your PC anyway, you could also solve 
this problem by using MacDisk for transferring your EII files from 
your PC to your Mac. In that case you have to define the 
right "signature" to the EII files in MacDisk first.
E.g. if your PC EII files have the extension ".EII", you can go 
to "Options->Signature Editor" in MacDisk and configure following Mac 
FileType and Mac Creator for the .EII files:
- FileType = E2BK
- Creator  = XFER
Once you saved this configuration file, all EII files copied to Mac 
floppy disks or Mac Zip disks with MacDisk will be recognized 
correctly by the Mac...

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
