Hi Guys,

Thanks so much to everyone for you help. You guys rock! 

Today I've spent some time with my EII trying to fire it up. I 
checked/cleaned all Molex/ power connections. Pushed the 2 PCB 
connectors. Pushed all the ICs. I removed and re-cleaned/reseated all 
long ICs on the Digital board including the boot rom and the Z80 
chips. But the problem remains. It still freezes up. Does anyone know 
which ICs are directly involved in the booting/ sound-loading 
process? 
Maybe I can try to do another targeted cleaning/reseating of those...

I also would like to troubleshoot the PSU. I own a multimeter, but am 
not sure what to look for in terms of what voltage needs to come out 
of where. I really want to fix this thing. Has anyone in here 
experience with the PSU and can tell me step by step what to look for?

I'm considering to bring this thing to a tech. Does anyone know of 
someone in Southern California (between San Diego and LA) who's an 
expert with EIIs?
