Thanks everyone for your replies and tips.  

I guess I will try to clean/reseat the ICs first and see what 
happens. 

In case it won't take care of the voice problem...I read somewhere in 
the forum that the S3528 is the one to replace if a voice cuts out. 
Then somebody told me it's the SSM2045? Are these chips located on the 
analog board? And how can I isolate the problem so I know which one  is 
bad? 

I found these chips on www.Vintageplanet.nl  The S3528 chip was labeled 
s3528B. Does anyone know the difference and if the S3528B will work 
also?
