Hi again David.

 

I haven’t been able to find any new drives anywhere.

I would look at eBay or at Route66 for their 3.5” replacement drive.

 

I personally is a little crazy about aesthetics and I prefer the original
5.25” drives J

 

I think you can move the machine without putting any floppies in the drive.
But for a longer or bumpy ride I would obviously do it.

But don’t come blaming me if anything happens J

opps the manual says to put a blank disc in the EII before moving 
across the room!!!!
Is that overkill or what??
Surely 51/4 inch drives cant be that fragile

One last question are NOS spare drives available or do you guys swap 
them with 3 1/2 drives from Route 66 these days?
