jaedoo Im not sure about 8.6 with SD as Ive never run anything higher
than System 7.5.5. However downgrading to 7.01 is a bad idea for two
reasons Ken:

First; jaedoo has a Powerbook 5300C which is built on the PowerPC
processor and requires System 7.5.2 or later.

Second; PC Exchange (which I recommended) requires 7.1 or higher. 

The good news though, is that 7.5.5 is also available free should he
want to try it. FWIW: I would only consider downgrading if Sound
Designer doesnt work on 8.6.
