Hi SD won't communicate with the EII without preparring the EII before sending banks. I have to put the EII under control of Macintosh, to be able to send banks to the EII. Next time I try to send a bank I get "Communication error". To be able to send another bank I have to take undo the "under control of macintosh" and reenter again. Then I can send another bank. This is a kind of annoying. I've also tried an old PowerMac 7500/100 with the same cable and same EII with success. So the cable and EII is fine. Do any of you know if there's a setting on the Mac OS that will take care of this problem? I have this setup: - PowerPC Macintosh 4400/200 with OS8.0. 48Mb ram, virtual memory is on, discache is on with 256k, apple talk off - EII with OS3.1 I have not tried all extension combination but I have looked in the group database section and tried to set the Mac OS to apple talk on printer and modem. Shifted the communication port on SD and set the virtual memory to both on and off. Best regards Brian
