Hi The Emulator I sample library includes a wide range of samples taken via Sony PCM F1, including the Optigan/Orchestron. Probaby some of the Orch samples. E-mu Systems people, often recorded local sound sources and instruments people had. About 200 sample diskettes were made. The Emulator is so hard to use that very few users could get a professional sample bank, and E-mu Systems had some cool UNIX computers to help them get good samples. The Ochestron was launched in 1975 and the orchestral sounds were quite an easy way to get "orch" samples... The Emulator II library was recorded on a more professional basis with recording studio sessions, especially for the orchestral samples. Some Emulator samples made it into the EII library (loon garden), but I doubt any old Orchestron samples made the grade. This was a new and expensive libraray - eg Arco Strings. The Blue Monday EII samples are E-mu Systems factory samples, there is no evidence of Kraftwerk using EII's and passing samples around in Europe to other bands. They did use Ochestrons in 1975 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orchestron#Technical_description Regards Rob www.emulatorarchioe.com <http://geo.yahoo.com/serv?s=97359714/grpId=2939306/grpspId=1705032144/msgId =1631/stime=1210777756/nc1=3848627/nc2=3848643/nc3=4025373> [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
