Hi,
Stick to a max of 1GB on the Emulator III, format times go up exponentially.
We once left a 4GB drive formatting for a week...and then there was the
verify...
We have proven the EIII with 1GB hard drives and the 1GB Jaz. The EIII is
very fussy about which drives it will dance with, so some won't do a thing.

    I spent all last night( and I do mean alllll night ) waiting for my
  EIII to verify my Syquest Syjet 1.5 gig removable hard drive, it seem
  ed to mount and it seemed to format, and then it went into verify
  mode and I anticipated a long wait for verification ( honestly i
  expected about 5 hours ) well it ran all night about 8 hours, and it
  never finished. I am concerned because I do think that the current
  hard drive in the EIII is bound to die one day in the near future. I
  also tried another external Power Pro 1 gig drive that I have but I
  keep getting Hardware error messages , I have everything terminated.
  What am I doing wrong ?
