Hi The Emulator MIDI fits into the RS232 socket on the Emulator digital board. All the ones I have seen have kludges on this board (blue wires). I have photos of the kludges but this is not enough to replicate the kludges (some wires go under the uprocessor). I don't have the E-mu Systems documentation on this one, but it is possible to clone the MIDI interface box quite easily. BUT...Retrofiiting MIDI to an Emulator is tricky, you'll need the OS and the MIDI box, but also RS232 connected, the latest digital board and maybe some kludging as well. I'd be intrested to know if Mikes Emulator has kludges or a Rev 5 or even 6 digital board. Regards rob Any info on how this MIDI works ? I wonder if it's just a matter of knowing what pins goes where in order to create your own MIDI interface for it. Any info - anyone ?
