Hi!

1. concerning your Disk drives:

Disconnect the unit's power chord, open the unit. Ground yourself by
touching a radiator (for example). Then take some Isopropyl alcohol
and clean the power connections between the Power supply unit and the
different boards and drives (plug them off, clean them, plug them back
in). I had similar Problems, and this worked really fine with my EII.

2. concerning Mac connection:

The Emulators serial Interface has to be RS422, not RS232. You have an
EII+, which should already have the newer RS422. - So this should work
fine.
