Hi Wayne! Thank you so much. I did what you said - took out each and every IC of my EII, cleaned it and its socket with alcohol, put it back in (connectors too of course). It was a complete success. The thing sounds just heavenly. The Filter is nice, smoof and precise. It's exactly doing what it's supposed to do. No more slapping needed now it's aight. I would recommed this to everybody who's got problems with his EII, no matter what. It's a hell of a lot of work (I think all together appx. 15 hours or so, but it was worth it. I'm completely overwhelmed.
