Personally Id suggest and Mac Classic or similar I tried to get an PPC 7600 but it wouldnt work. Some have other experiences, but I can assure you that a Mac Classic will work J Kenneth Abildgaard 12bit.com Fra: emulatorII-list@yahoogroups.com [mailto:emulatorII-list@yahoogroups.com] På vegne af JC Sendt: 20. februar 2008 21:27 Til: emulatorII-list@yahoogroups.com Emne: Re: [emulatorII-list] Re: drives and discs for emulator II thanks Heiko for the very helpful reply. Are you suggesting an older mac because it will work with the Emu II to mac seriel cable that I see advertised? I have so much to learn about all this stuff; please bear with my questions. Thanks! At our "database"-section you can find some 3 1/5" drives, which are also working with the EII. You can sometimes find EII-sounddisks on ebay, or at www.northstarsamples.com for example. But the best way is, to look for an old Mac (working types are also at the database), the datacable (or build one by yourself) to connect the EII with the mac and download the "Sounddesigner for Emulator II"-software. Then you can download the sounds from the "files"-section and have a look for Emulator II Sounds in Sounddesigner-format. The mac with the software is also the best way to save and load sounds. But you need one working disk for booting the Emulator. And last but not least have a look at here: http://www.emulatorarchive.com/Samplers/E2Overview/e2overview.html There you can find the most informations about the EII. And at this forum for sure. :-) Much luck and best regards Heiko (from germany) --- In emulatorII-list@yahoogroups.com <mailto:emulatorII-list%40yahoogroups.com> , "lawjcrg" <lawjcrg@...> wrote: > > Hello: I just purchased from ebay an emulator II which needs to have > the disc drives replaced.
