Hi, It sounds like a read problem, especially if you are confident the media is okay. The head of the floppy drive is quite large and can be accessed from the right hand side of the drive, you may need to take the drive out the EII to reach it properly. Be careful not to touch the PSU, as it can give you a jolt even when powered off. Use a cotton bud. I can send you a photo if you are having problems tracking the head down. For users who can't boot from 5.25" the 3.5" floppy drive kit comes with a free OS diskette (you choose which version) on 3.5" media, so you can boot up the EII.
