I have the WEG Strings on one of my countless EII floppies - it is indeed the Marcato Strings disk. I reckon the choir is from either the Fairlight CMI III or the EIII, which became their go-to samplers in the late 80s (Domino Dancing is a 1989 track, produced in Miami by Lewis A Martinee). Made with EII? Hi Dan The PSB West End Girls string sound is most definitely the EMU "Marcatto Strings" disk, and so are the horns on that track too. So, I can only assume the choir stuff is as well, also considering how "Emu II" they sound. -Sean On Jan 21, 2008, at 3:16 PM, Dan Litwin wrote: > Does anyone know what was used to make choir sounds in: > > Depeche Mode - Behind the Wheel > Pet Shop Boys - Domino Dancing > Pet Shop Boys - West End Girls > > Wondered if it was an EII, and if so, available anywere? > > Dan > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
