Hi there. I cant help you either Im afraid, but just another work-around. I recently purchased an old Classic myself running MacOS7. At the same time I also bought an old Power Macintosh 7600 running MacOS8 for absolutely no money at all (approx. 50 USD). This way I can transfer the banks from the 7600 to the Classic via floppies. Not as handy (or speedy) as having a connected CD-ROM drive to the Classic I know, but still one way to do it J. Just another work-around if you dont get a solution to your problem which I hope you do J Kenneth Abildgaard 12bit.com Fra: emulatorII-list@yahoogroups.com [mailto:emulatorII-list@yahoogroups.com] På vegne af elmbeatz Sendt: 17. januar 2008 12:42 Til: emulatorII-list@yahoogroups.com Emne: [emulatorII-list] Re: Please, please, please help me... Hi Martin! I had kind of the same problems... My CD Rom drive wasn't recognized by my mac neither, so I had to find a workaround to get the banks on cd rom into my mac (SE) and from there (Sound Designer) to the EII. I have OS 6.07. What I did was to copy all the banks from cd rom to some Zip disks. I did this with a modern first generation mac book pro. The zip disks were first formatted on my old school mac SE. The powerbook had no problems to recognize the old school formatted zip disks. After copying all the banks, I could easily read them on my mac SE, because the zip drive works perfectly with it. Of course it would have been much more comfortable if the CD Rom worked fine, but as you have the same problem, CD rom devices seem to cause Problems with those old apple computers. I don't even think that the driver is the point, because via scsi there should (normally) be no problem. I hope that this helps you. Greetings, Elm.
