You only need one SCSI port on your Mac Classic for the CD-drive or ZIP-drive. The connection between Mac and EII uses a serial port, not a SCSI port. You have to connect the EII "computer interface" with a special cable to the Mac. This cable must have a mini-DIN8 connector towards the Mac and a DB25 connector towards the EII.
