SV: RE: [emulatorII-list] Emulator II sample rate

2007-08-13 by Marko Laukka

Hi
Thanks for the answer! I still think it's an amazing sampler! I just wanted to know if it was possible to create some sort of stero effect... Interesting to know about the crossfade looping. Btw, I like your website! I've got most of my info about the E-mu samplers/synthesizers from there, and thats where I found interest in the instruments, a real source of knowledge! I own both the EII+HD, and an EIII rack sampler with 8Mb. Thanks to your website.
Another thing I want to mention is that I replaced the SCSI harddrive in my EIII with a 1Gb Compact Flash card. I did it by using a SCSI to IDE-bridge adapter from www.acard.com . So now it' very quiet - I can only hear the two fans at the rear end, and I don't have to worry about the SCSI unit to end it for good. There's an afterlife for old vintage samplers with SCSI!

  Regards,

  Marko

          Hi
It is hard coded....in firmwave not in the OS.

There is no real time assignment of voice channels.....

However it is remarkable how much software is in the E2, such as cross fade
looping.

Hello group!
I'm a new and proud owner to a EII+HD, but I have a question about the
sample rate used by EII: is it hardcoded to sample at 27.777kHz 'only'
or is it possible to change that in "software" (OS/EPROM comes to my
mind)?
Another question as I'm going: Is it possible to re-assign voices to
another of the eight separate outputs in real-time? to create some sort
of stereo effect?

Thanks in advance
