Thanks all for the positive feedback ! I'll try to add some more EII-features in the future. One of the things that I'll also try out is using a direct serial link between the PC and the Emulator II. I think I have the "code" to instruct the Emulator II to upload and download bankfiles. So the only additional thing I'll need is a small USB-to-RS422 convertor and a custom-built serial cable. If it works we'll be able to skip the Mac (although this could be a shame - the current setup is really "vintage" and "charming"). By the way: reverse engineering the EII was fun, but it was also the most difficult one since I started the EMXP project. The memory layout applied by the EmuII is absolutely not straightforward (never seen such a mess :-). The 8-bit compression algorithm on the other hand is simply awesome - Emu did a fantastic thing here. ///E-Synthesist --- In emulatorII-list@yahoogroups.com, "laurent" <laurent.collat@...> wrote: > > Dear E-Synthesist, > > > Do you realize what you have done ? > > All of a sudden the E2 belongs to the modern world again. > > I join the people who do thank you a LOT for this, it is just the > missing link we needed. > > > Cheers > > > Larry >
