Cool! You might want to think about actually finding a vocalist for those
tracks and check out if that fits your bill. :-)

Oooh, nice!

I'm still thinking of getting a MnM myself, but I just can't decide. It's
either going to be a NM G2. or a MnM. At the moment, I seem to have grown a
week spot for intuitive machines with built-in sequencers. I think the MnM
especially fits that bill. It would also be an excellent companion to my MD.
The thing is; I'm still not so sure about the sound of the MnM. It's all
rather 'samey' to my ears.

I'm sure this has been asked before (also by me, but that is quite some time
ago); but are there mp3's around that *really* show off the quality of those
MnM synths?

Thanx

I'll be honest with you, the MnM isn't for everyone
but then again neither are alot of other synths out
there. The sounds from the MnM can be tweaked out like
crazy so you won't have any problems there, I know
that the MnM sounds the same on many tracks that I
have heard and done myself but so do my other synths.
Th G2 is very nice! I like the MnM the most because of
the sequencer and the fact that I can control my other
synths with the midi from it. I know that in the past
I have made some complaints about it not having
certain things like different filters and such but
this machine is probably one of the best machines also
the easiest machines that I have ever owned. Just that
lil track that you heard was done in like 5mins on a
MnM, it's just that easy to come up with songs or
ideas with it. If I was a company like
Korg,Roland.Yamaha, I would pull my head out ma arse
and get with the future of programming. It would be
awesome to see Korg or any of those other companys
come up with a synth like the MnM just because of the
sounds that those synths can produce. I wished when
Korg did the Triton they had more knobs to tweak with
and add a step sequencer like their Eelctribe gear to
the top of the Synth, If those guys do that I want
some of the money from it cause I just gave them an
idea for future synths, haha j/k Seriously if I had to
do it all again I'd buy the MnM hell I was even going
to purchase another soon. Just remember u can't rely
on one synth to be your main synth for making music :)

Thanks, for your post, Auto!

Today I went to my music shop. I played on the G2 again. It's a great synth.
I heard some cool sounds, and I programmed a "phat", wicked bass. But
somehow it wasn't enough anymore...

I'll let you know what my decision is...

Cheers,

Gert

Cool, good luck and I am sure that which ever you
choose you will enjoy it. :)

Thank you! Why of course a vocoder or maybe even a
speech synth ;)

MnM MIDI track on/off

2004-07-29 by Flo Zombie

Is there a way to switch tracks on/off by midi ?

I want to trigger the MnM from an external Sequencer with Multi Trig.
But I will have to switch the tracks on/off manually.
Are there any other solutions?

best
