YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY !!!!!!!! ... YAYYYYY ...

2004-07-03 by gregoriothebig

I just bought a machinedrum and a monomachine (tabletop) WEEEEE !!
sorry i just had to tell somebody who cared !! haha haha

i'm jumping in joy and anticipation !
I bought them this friday around 8:00 pm miami florida time ! you guys know when i
should recieve them ??
how long did your shipment take ?
WEEEEE YAYYY

OK formal questions !!!.
1. Can i program my monomachine using my Motif 6 keys as a midi controller ? and how
well should they work?
2. What was your initial reaction when you got your MD/MM ?
3. Do you think elektron should make a sampler next ??
4. Can i program the monomachine without having a keyboard . and using the triggers ??
5. How long did it take you to make a pattern with you MD/MM (is it easy to program)
6. I have regrets about buying the MM tabletop version (not enough money) and i feel i
shouldn't have bought a MD because the MM has some drums on it . please tell me how
much more kick as at drums the MD is . and what is the difference in drum sound between
the MD /and MM

ok , thats all .. i am very glad i eate nothing but mustard and ketchup the last couple of
months , awsome sound on this instruments !!!

thank you .
GREG

yes

just like any other keyboard

got inspired to make music

dont know-already too many samplers out there.

its possible but having a keyboard to put in notes is more fun.

supereasy-after 5 minutes i was rocking

Dont feel bad. I did the same thing and i dont regret it.
The drums in the mono are nice but cant substitute the MD.
The MD has much more possibilities when it comes to drumsounds.
Its the perfect match to the mono.

I soooo disagree with this as far as sampler desktop boxes. Basically there
is the Electribe SX(S) and the MPC series...Anything else worth mentioning?
There is so much room in this market I think.

i use a v-synth as my hardwaresampler and i cant really think of anything that this beast
couldnt do to a sample. The same goes for the VariOS.
The new Boss SP606 looks kinda cool too.
Together with the Korgs and Akais thats about 8 models to choose from.
On top of that there is a world full of softwaresamplers that can do amazing things.
But hey-if Elektron makes a sampler thats cool i will be the first to buy it- i was just trying
to describe the potential market.
:-)

Well yea but the v-synth is a beast that does a lot more that just sample,
and the Vari OS is too I think in a separate category. The Boss looks like
it's interesting. And software is well software, I like using software
samplers as regular samplers for multi samples etc.., but for me software
can never replace the feel of a pretty box with lots of knobs and its own
internal sequencer that u can just jam on.

I'm talking MPC1000, Korg ESX like, a desktop hardware box that is only a
sampler, no internal synths, but with nice sample warping features, efx,
pads/xoxoxo interface, sequencer, etc.. For around the MD price or a little
less. To me honestly I don't see a lot of stuff in this market.

I think if electron did something like the machinedrum that was only a
sampler, had the features I mentioned above, had a little bigger screen with
usb connectivity to a computer, it would seriously rock. Oh and also throw
an interesting playable interface feature on it, example the mono joystick,
and the slider and finger pad on the ESX.
